Changelog
What’s new in AI Grammatic
App updates arrive on their own (or via Check for Updates… in the menu bar). Service changes reach every version right away.
Version 1.5.3
- The app is now AI Grammatic everywhere on your Mac: in Applications, Launchpad, Spotlight and the Accessibility list. An updated copy renames itself once and reopens; your settings, license and permissions stay.
- If you also downloaded the new version next to the old one, the older copy moves to the Trash, so only one runs.
Version 1.5.2
- Activate in one click: the button after checkout and in your license email opens AI Grammatic and activates your key.
- Moving to a new Mac? Deactivate the license on the old one in Settings → License, or activate it on the new Mac and confirm the move from your email. No need to write to support.
- Pro: a Test Key button in Settings → AI Provider checks your API key, model and credit with one short rewrite.
- Copy your license key from Settings → License.
Version 1.5.1
- A new setup guide: it explains the Accessibility permission in plain words and lets you try ⌘⌥E right in the window before you use it anywhere else.
- Pressing the shortcut with nothing selected no longer rewrites whatever was on your clipboard. And after a rewrite, your clipboard is put back the way it was.
- A small note next to the pointer shows “Rewriting…” and then “Done. ⌘Z to undo”. Problems that need no decision show there too, instead of in a window.
- In a terminal, the rewrite goes to your clipboard instead of being typed at the prompt.
- Clearer messages for a rejected API key, a slow provider, being offline or reaching the daily limit, with the time the limit resets.
- “Manage Subscription” opens the billing portal, where you can switch between monthly and yearly billing. Premium shows the words you have left today.
- Settings warns about shortcuts another app already uses and about ones like ⌘V, shows whether Accessibility is on, and opens on the right tab from the menu.
- A paid plan no longer shows as ended on renewal day, and a temporary server error never removes your license.
- Started from the disk image, AI Grammatic offers to move itself to Applications so it can update and open at login.
Version 1.5.0
- GrammaticAI is now AI Grammatic. Same app, same settings and license, new name.
Version 1.4.9
- Rewrites now aim to sound like a native speaker wrote them, not just to be grammatically correct.
- Your custom writing instructions apply on every plan. Before, only Pro used them.
- New “No dashes” option in Settings → Instructions turns dashes used as punctuation into commas.
- English (US) and English (UK) are separate target languages, with American or British spelling.
- A lowercase first word in a rewrite is capitalized.
Service update
- New default AI models after the providers retired the previous ones: GPT-5.6 Luna, Claude Haiku 5.5, Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite and DeepSeek Flash. Rewrites work again on every provider.
- Faster, steadier service on new hosting.
- Daily limits are enforced more reliably, so the Free plan stays available for everyone.
- Premium and Pro can now be paid monthly: $7.99 and $3.29 a month. Yearly billing stays at $69 and $29 and works out up to 28% cheaper. Switch between them anytime in the billing portal.
Version 1.4.8
- Choose the AI model in Settings → AI Provider (Pro and Premium).
- A Premium plan granted to your Mac now shows correctly in Settings.
- Fixes rewrites failing on the newest OpenAI and Claude models.
